General Terms and Conditions
The Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd (business ID: 2617489-3) online shop sells products to
private individuals and companies. Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd has the right to update
these terms and conditions without prior notice. The terms and conditions effective at the time of
ordering apply to the orders. We reserve the right to change prices and delivery charges.
Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd is not responsible for any damage caused by force majeure.
Force majeure refers to any unpredictable factor or a change in circumstances beyond the control of
Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd. Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd is under an
obligation to notify the customer of any force majeure without delay.
Customer and Data Protection
When placing an order, the customer is obligated to provide the contact information requested.
The customer data is stored in the Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd’s customer register,
where the data is used for the purpose of maintaining customer relationships. Häme University of
Applied Sciences Ltd and companies belonging to the same group are entitled to process and disclose
the data in the register on legitimate grounds in accordance with applicable laws.
The privacy statement in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation can be found
on the online shop website.
Placing an order
The products are ordered from shop.hamk.fi using shopping cart software.
All orders are confirmed by e-mail specifying the total amount of the order, delivery charges and the
products ordered. To receive your order confirmation, you must provide a proper e-mail address
The customer undertakes to comply with the terms of delivery valid at the time of each order.
When the order has been placed, an order confirmation is sent to the e-mail address the customer
has provided by e-mail. The confirmation shows the order ID, the order content and the total invoice
Prices and VAT
The price applied to orders made from the online shop is the price shown in the online shop price list
at the time of order. Rights to price changes are reserved. All prices are given in euros (EUR).
Delivery/postal charges are added to the price of goods.
The product prices shown in the online shop include the VAT rate applicable at any given time.
We deliver products (services and goods) on weekdays. Goods are dispatched when the receipt of
payment has been registered. Depending on the bank used, this takes 1–3 working days from the
payment of the invoice. The times of delivery for course fees and services are defined in the product
Product orders are delivered to the delivery address specified by the customer in connection with
the order. If the delivery does not comply with the order or some other disruption occurs in the
delivery, the supplier of the product (Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd) must be immediately
notified about the matter.
The notification must be made within seven days of the delivery or receipt of the order.

Delivery charges depend on the content, weight and method of delivery of the order.
The customer has a 14-day right of exchange and return in accordance with the Finnish Consumer
Protection Act. We do not accept returns more than 14 days after delivery. The product being
returned and the original packaging must be in the same condition as they were when received. All
costs arising from the return are paid by the person returning a product unless there is a clear defect
or error in the delivery attributable to the supplier. The cancellation terms of courses and other
services are described in the product information.
When returning a product, please include the following information: order ID, your name, address
and phone number, and a copy of the order confirmation. Payments are returned via the system to
the account/credit card used by the payer in connection with the order.
Product returns must always be agreed upon separately with the supplier. The customers are kindly
asked to contact the supplier by e-mail at: email@example.com
The products and their delivery/postal charges are paid in connection with the order. Payment is
made over a secure connection via the Paytrail online payment service.
Payment service provider
The transaction and payment service provider is Paytrail Oy (2122839-7), in collaboration with
Finnish banks and credit institutions. It collects the payments by a balance statement or a card
invoice, and forwards the payment to the supplier.
Any disputes arising from the sale or deliveries will primarily be resolved through negotiations
between the parties. If no agreement can be reached, the matter will be resolved by the District
Court of Kanta-Häme.
